Experience:

Born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina, Mike began his career in commercial real estate in 1985 working with his father, Julian Peebles as a retail leasing agent. His first project was the leasing of Knightdale Crossing Shopping Center in Knightdale, North Carolina and had it 100% leased before construction was completed. Soon after joining his father, they went to work at Davidson and Jones in the commercial real estate arm of the company and aggressively developed shopping centers from Georgia to Virginia. At Davidson & Jones, Mike began to learn all phases of the development of shopping centers and quickly became a project manager.

In 1991, Mike and his father left Davidson & Jones and began developing shopping centers throughout North Carolina and Virginia. When Julian decided to retire in 1996, Mike began a ten year relationship as an independent contractor with Income Properties of Raleigh, NC as their director of leasing and project management. In 2006, Mike decided to open an office to concentrate primarily on smaller retail projects, tenant representation and brokerage services. Some of the projects and tenants Mike has worked on or with are: Morehead Plaza, Knightdale Crossing, Pavilion on Spring Forest, Century Center, Falcon Village, Winn Dixie Warehouse in Clayton, NC, Winn Dixie, Food Lion, Stein Mart, Michaels, Linens ‘N Things, CVS, Kerr Drug, Eckerd Drug, Ladies Fitness & Wellness, Peak Fitness, Curves, Dunkin Donuts, Baskin Robbins, Goodberry’s, Old Country Buffet, Hardee’s, McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Kentucky Fried Chicken, BB&T, NC State University and many more in his over 20 years of experience in commercial real estate.

Mike also works with the DFI Group of Raleigh as a consultant and will also be the Director of Christian Education & Missions, which is an arm of DFI that provide financial aid to individuals and communities, college scholarship aid and spiritual coaching to individuals. Mike also has a passion for young people and has been actively involved in his church youth group as a field staff and Sunday school teacher, as a swim team coach, and as a basketball coach in the Raleigh City League for seven years before becoming an assistant basketball coach at North Raleigh Christian Academy since 2002

About Keith Garwood

After Graduating from White Oak High School in Jacksonville, North Carolina, Keith attended East Carolina University, Coastal Carolina Community College and the University of North Carolina in Wilmington.  While in College he studied Mathematics and Computer Science and also worked in Management for Auto Spa Car Washes and United Parcel Service.  It was during this time that Keith decided to expand his business management skills and focus on a future as a service business entrepenuer.  In 1989, Keith moved briefly to Wilson, North Carolina to manage a newly opened Auto Spa Car wash.  This is also where he met and married Andrea Tyson.  In 1990, Keith and Andrea settled in Knightdale, North Carolina.  It was around this same time that Keith was introduced to Mike and Julian Peebles and started a close, long lasting friendship.  In 1991, Keith took a step of faith and started his first business.  Mike and Julian were very supportive and instrumental in helping Keith along the way.  After 17 years, Keith has navigated his business through many trials and tribulations through hard work and persistence.  Today Keith is President and Owner of the most successful window film company in the Triangle.  In 2006, Keith decided to put his customer service skills to use in another field and after receiving his Real Estate Brokerage License in August 2006 he and Mike joined forces and are working together toward expanding the Brokerage firm Mikes father started.  Our plan is to do this through hard work and exceptional service.
